PS2 stands for "The People's Smart Sculpture" and is a multidisciplinary collaborative project co-funded by the EU Creative Europe Programme from 2014 to 2018. PS2 promotes participatory art and collaborative urban art and cultural processes in Europe ́s intercultural urban spaces.

The ambitious goal of the PS2 project was to develop cultural technology into new perspectives on two of the most important issues of the present day:

1. The future of participative processes in society and city.

How can we increase active citizenship and make participation a common cultural technique in our diverse society?

2. The future of urban development itself and the complex challenges of the urban situation.

How can we shape the transformation of our living spaces? 

The PS2 project has resulted in a Europe-wide toolbox of staging techniques to actively engage artists and audiences in complex aesthetic, philosophical and social processes.
